What can you do for gas pains in a 1 month old baby?

My son does not have colic, but we had one rough night when he couldn't sleep and was all gy. We rubbed his stomach, cycled his legs, anything we could think of. I have 4 kids and this is my first experience with this problem. I just want to have ideas for what to do in case it happens again.
