I'm looking for a pc game from the 90's. I can't remember the name.?

It was an RPG set in a fantasy, medieval-esque world. At the beginning the character is banished there. A giant hand in the sky drops you into the sea and you start the game washed up on the shore. Does anyone know what it's called?
