Ssdi and unemployment benefits?

ok my husband was laid off due to no work. now hes been seeing a phychiratrist for a severe mental illness. i applied for ssi/ssdi yes he has enough work history. but applying for ssi/ssdi going to effect unemployment benefits? will they give unemployment to him? will social security hold UI benifits against him we live i arizona.
