Do i have a psychotic illness?

Hi guys.How are you all? I am 23 years old and live in Glasgow,Scotland.Over about a year now i have been hearing voices in my head.They are there from the moment i wake up to when i go to bed at night.It is two men talking to one another and they also talk to me.They say that i am worthless and better off dead.Recently the voices have become more sinister.They told me to harm my family and myself though i would never do that.I don't recognise the voices.They are very disturbing and depressing. I am scared about going to the doctor incase he puts me in hospital.Am i psychotic?Do i have a psychotic illness?Thank you
