Maggots in a diaper genie?

I just changed my diaper genie and i saw maggots i believe(they were small worm like things)..there was one dead and one alive...have you ever seen this in a diaper genie...I feel like throwing it away but my son is only 15 months old so i really need it. I am just sooooo grossed out about it.
